As a member of Montclair State University's Black Alumni Advisory Council, I volunteered as tribute (haha) to take lead on developing a social media strategy to help drive ticket sales for the first gala in October of 2022. With a limited budget and a SmugMug photo link, I was forced to get creative and resourceful. I developed a strategy to engage Black alumni at MSU by tapping into cultural nuances in the Black community, leveraging social trends and creating educational content that would answer key questions about the event. While all content wasn't used, I had a ball leveraging my creativity for a great cause.
